Team PossAbilities was developed to increase community awareness for the PossAbilities program and Loma Linda University Medical Center East Campus. Our team members participate in road cycling, mountain biking, multi-sport, wheelchair, walking and running events. The team members are active on a social, recreational, intermediate, and elite level. In addition to increasing awareness for the PossAbilities program, our goal is to promote the benefits of a healthy and productive lifestyle through peer support, training, teamwork, and competition. The team also supports and organizes both recreational and competitive events throughout the year. Students, faculty, staff and community members are all part of Team PossAbilities. "Team PossAbilities integrates disabled persons with the rest of our community," says Willie Stewart, Director of the program and himself a disabled athlete. "We don't classify people. This team will have inspiration for everyone, regardless of age or fitness level."
