Become A Peer Visitor

At Loma Linda University Health PossAbilities we believe that the best person to help a patient growing
through a crisis is someone who has traveled that journey before.
That is why we have a Peer Visiting Program - to help those who need a little encouragement.
A peer visitor can be anyone with a permanent physical disability who
is willing to give of their time to visit another person in need.

Visitors need to successfully complete the onboarding process and background check through
Loma Linda University Health Volunteer Services as well as the mentoring program with PossAbilities.

Tell Us About Yourself

The main purpose in visiting patients is to provide them with hope and encouragement. If you were to share your life’s journey related to your disability what would your story be?
What words of encouragement would you give a patient during a peer visit?
