ITU GRAND FINAL CHICAGO

An electrifying race that saw the day start with dumping rain, thunders and lightning added to the expectation. We didn’t even know if the race was gonna happen, but then the rain stopped and the show was on. After a good performance, to my bad fortune I was disqualified… Due to a mistake I did when racking the bike, I got a penalty. During the run, you’re supposed to see ur number on the penalty box and “pay” for it –10seconds. I ALWAYS check the box, but this race I was so focused on my performance and didn’t see it… Not paying the penalty = disqualification. On the most important race of the year. So much dedication, so many people cheering me on. Very frustrating. But already over it, and it’s no one’s fault but mine. Now we just gotta work extra hard for that Paralympic qualification.
